Wood Riser Pads 5-Ply - 1/4" - real wood risers (5-ply, 1/4 inch) that sit between your trucks and deck. A 1/4 inch riser earns its keep on bigger wheels and looser trucks - it buys real clearance against wheelbite while keeping the setup solid.

One thing risers always change: hardware length. Standard 7/8" bolts get short once a riser is in the stack - move up to 1" hardware so the bolts seat fully through deck, riser and baseplate.

Wood risers over plastic is a feel choice as much as anything - wood compresses less and keeps the connection between deck and truck direct, so your board still talks to you through your feet. They also spread mounting stress across the baseplate area, which is kind to the deck around the truck holes over a long life of re-mounts and rail slappies.

Fitting is a five-minute job: trucks off, riser aligned to the baseplate holes, longer bolts through the full stack, snug in a cross pattern. If you are already re-gripping or swapping trucks, it is the natural moment to add them.
